Description

The Sony BVW-70P is the PAL version of the BVW-70, a Betacam SP studio edit recorder introduced by Sony in 1987. It is the standard Betacam SP recording deck, designed for use as an edit master in post-production facilities.

The BVW-70P records on Betacam SP metal particle tapes and plays back both SP and original oxide Betacam cassettes in both L-size (100+ minutes at PAL speed) and S-size formats. Four audio channels are available: two longitudinal tracks with Dolby C noise reduction and two AFM tracks.

Built-in editing capabilities include insert and assemble modes with auto preview/review, audio split editing, and frame-accurate operation via RS-422 serial control. When paired with a DT-equipped player such as the BVW-65P or BVW-75P, DMC (Dynamic Motion Control) slow-motion editing is supported.
