Sony 12-pin DUB

The Sony 12-pin DUB connector is a proprietary multi-pin circular connector developed by Sony for use on Betacam and Betacam SP video equipment. It carries component video signals (Y, R-Y, B-Y) along with a CTDM (Compressed Time Division Multiplex) dubbing signal through a single cable, simplifying interconnection between Betacam decks for dubbing and editing operations.

The connector is found on virtually all Sony Betacam and Betacam SP studio VTRs (BVW series, PVW series, UVW series), field recorders, and accessories such as the BVX-10 Component Color Corrector. It provides the same component video signals available on the discrete BNC connectors, but in a single-cable solution that reduces cabling complexity in edit suites and OB vans.

Male connectors are typically found on cables, while female connectors are panel-mounted on equipment.
