Description

The Sony PVW-2650P is the PAL version of the PVW-2650, a mid-range Betacam SP studio player with Dynamic Tracking introduced by Sony in 1992 as part of the PVW series. It offers many features from the BVW series at a more affordable price point.

The PVW-2650P plays back both Betacam SP metal particle tapes and original oxide Betacam cassettes in both L-size (100+ minutes at PAL speed) and S-size (30 minutes) formats. Dynamic Tracking provides broadcast-quality noiseless playback from -1 to +3 times normal speed. The DMC function enables automated variable-speed editing when used as a feeder with a PVW-2800P recorder.

Two longitudinal audio channels with Dolby C noise reduction are provided. The PVW-2650P adds S-Video output and an optional U-matic DUB output (via BKW-2030 board) not found on the BVW series, improving integration flexibility with existing facilities.
