Description

The Sony SL-HF840D was a mid-range SuperBeta Hi-Fi stereo VCR from 1987, built on the 711B3 chassis. It was the Hi-Fi stereo version of the SL-810D, adding Beta Hi-Fi stereo audio to the digital effects capability. It supported SuperBeta recording in βII and βIII with playback of βI, βIs, βII, and βIII. Features included slow motion playback, digital effects for picture manipulation, a wireless infrared remote (RMT-162), and a 4-event, 14-day programmable timer.
