Description
The Sony SL-F25 was the last basic Betamax model ever sold in the UK. Because of its late release, not many were sold. With just a 1-event/week timer and no other advanced features, it was a very basic offering, though its scarcity now makes it notable among collectors. The front flap on the right concealed controls for clock and timer settings, a tone selector (set to low if high frequencies seem exaggerated), the AFT switch, and manual tuning for 8 TV stations. The tape counter could be read as a real-time counter. The SL-F25 was a PAL-only model with no direct NTSC equivalent, as Sony had ceased production of NTSC Betamax by this time.
