Description

The Sony SL-800ME was a truly worldwide multi-standard Super Betamax VCR. It contained three separate tuners allowing it to receive PAL, SECAM, and NTSC broadcast signals, making it suitable for use in European countries, Japan, USA, South Africa, and North African countries. The 4-tip video head enabled recording and playback in PAL, SECAM, and NTSC modes at both Beta II and Beta III speeds, with Super Beta Pro mode for maximum picture quality. Available in gold, black, and silver, it was one of the most versatile and capable Betamax machines ever produced. It was one of the last Betamax VCRs manufactured, produced primarily for the Middle Eastern market.
