Description

The Sony SL-340 was a low-end SuperBeta monaural VCR from 1988, built on the 711B3 chassis. It was essentially an improved variant of the SL-330, positioned as another affordable entry point into the Betamax format. It supported SuperBeta recording in βII and βIII speeds with playback of βI, βIs, βII, and βIII. It included a 148-channel digital tuner with 14 presets, BetaScan picture search, freeze-frame, and a wireless infrared remote (RMT-156) with a 1-event, 7-day programmable timer.
