Description
The JVC HR-S7000U was JVC's first S-VHS format VCR for the North American market, released in 1987. S-VHS (Super VHS) offered significantly improved picture quality over standard VHS with over 400 lines of horizontal resolution. The DA4 (double azimuth 4) head design and VHS Hi-Fi stereo audio with MTS stereo decoder made this a flagship model. Features included pause/still, fast-forward/rewind search, index function, and on-screen display. A wireless remote control was included along with an 8-event 14-day programmable timer. The unit featured S-Video output for maximum picture quality.
