Description
The JVC HR-S6600U was a 1989 S-VHS format VCR featuring JVC's DA4 (double azimuth 4) head design and VHS Hi-Fi stereo audio with MTS stereo decoder. S-VHS offered significantly improved picture quality over standard VHS with over 400 lines of horizontal resolution. Features included pause/still, variable-speed fast-forward/rewind search, variable-speed slow motion, X2 speed playback in both directions, on-screen display, index function, and audio dubbing capability. The digital tuner supported 181 channels. A wireless remote control was included along with an 8-event 14-day programmable timer.
