Description

The JVC HR-S10000U was JVC's flagship 1989 S-VHS format VCR, representing the pinnacle of VHS technology. It featured JVC's DA4 (double azimuth 4) head design and both VHS Hi-Fi stereo audio and linear stereo audio tracks with MTS stereo decoder. S-VHS offered significantly improved picture quality over standard VHS with over 400 lines of horizontal resolution. This top-of-the-line model included pause/still, variable-speed fast-forward/rewind search, variable-speed slow motion, X2 speed playback in both directions, digital video effects, on-screen display, index function, and video/audio dubbing capability. The digital tuner supported 181 channels. A wireless remote control with LCD display was included along with an 8-event 14-day programmable timer.
