Description

The VT-9710A was a premium 1981 Hitachi VHS VCR for the North American market and was notable for being one of the early stereo VCRs. It featured a 4-head design with SP, LP, and EP speeds, pause/still and FF/rewind search capabilities. The electronic tuner offered 14 pushbutton presets covering 105 channels. It included stereo audio recording and playback, a wireless remote control, and an 8-event/21-day programmable timer with audio dubbing capability. It used a top-loading cassette mechanism.
