Description

The VT-2700A was the flagship 1987 Hitachi VCR for the North American market and was notable as one of the first S-VHS models. It featured a 3-head design supporting both VHS and S-VHS formats with SP, LP, and EP speeds. Playback features included pause/still, FF/rewind search, frame advance, slow motion, and digital effects. It featured VHS Hi-Fi stereo audio with MTS broadcast stereo reception. Advanced features included an index function for tape navigation and audio/video dubbing capability. The digital tuner covered 120 channels. It included a wireless remote control and used a front-loading cassette mechanism.
