Description

The FOR-A FA-147 is a compact and powerful frame synchronizer and TBC introduced in August 2007. The unit made the SD-SDI interfaces introduced in the earlier FA-145 even more useful, offering both analog composite and SD-SDI inputs and outputs.

The FA-147 is capable of analog composite to digital component conversion and features wide-range internal genlock capability, allowing almost any VHS signal to be genlocked. This makes it a perfect solution for upgrading existing analog systems to digital component infrastructure.

Internal signal processing uses 10-bit 4:2:2 component format. The unit supports SD-SDI ANC (ancillary) data signal pass-through and allows SD-SDI signal EDH (Error Detection and Handling) to be enabled or disabled. A line FS (frame synchronizer) mode is available for minimal delay applications.

A modular version (UFM-147DFS) was also available for installation in FOR-A's universal frame system.
