Description
The Zenith VRT-9850 is a tuner/timer companion unit for the Zenith VR-9800 portable Betamax VCR, similar to the Sony TT-2000. Manufactured by Sony for Zenith, it provides the VR-9800 with an electronic tuner featuring 14 pushbutton presets for VHF/UHF channels, a wireless infrared remote control, and a 4-event 14-day programmable timer. When docked with the VR-9800, it converts the portable unit into a full-featured home VCR. The VRT-9850 connects to the VR-9800 via a 26-pin multi-connector and includes an unswitched AC outlet. It is also compatible with the Zenith VR-9500 portable VCR and Sony portable Betamax units that share the same platform.
