The Sony SLO-383 was the ultimate βI-era editing Betamax and an improved version of the SLO-323. It offered true audio and video insert editing using flying erase heads, programmed operation, linear stereo audio, and a video tracking meter. At an original retail price of $3,750, it was the most expensive Betamax VCR ever produced.
