Sony CPD-200SF
1×VGA (RGBHV) (DE-15 (VGA))
The Sony CPD-200SF is a 17-inch Trinitron colour computer display, marketed as the Multiscan 200sf. It is built on Sony's X2R chassis and shares a service manual with the CPD-200SFT; chassis numbers vary by destination — SCC-K17B-A, SCC-K17C-A and SCC-K17D-A cover the Canadian/ES, AEP/UK and Australian models respectively.[1]
The tube measures 17 inches diagonally with 90-degree deflection and a 0.25 mm aperture grille pitch. Viewable image size is approximately 327 × 241 mm — a 15.9-inch viewing image — and the standard image area approximately 312 × 234 mm.[1] Both logical and physical resolution reach a maximum of 1280 dots horizontally by 1024 lines vertically.[1]
Deflection frequency spans 30 to 80 kHz horizontally and 50 to 120 Hz vertically, giving the monitor a genuine multiscan range that covers preset modes from 800 × 600 up to 1280 × 1024.[1] The AC input is autoranging over 100 to 240 V at 50–60 Hz, drawing 2–1 A.[1]
Features
Video reaches the monitor through an HD15 connector; Sony supplied an HD15-to-D15 adapter for older graphics cards.[1] The monitor has separate power and power-saving LEDs, and its service diagnostics include an aging mode that produces a raster for burn-in and a self-test that puts up an on-screen colour bar.[1]
The display measures approximately 406 × 426.5 × 451 mm (w/h/d) and weighs about 19 kg.[1]
