Description

The Panasonic PV-2812 is an Omnivision VHS VCR dated November 1988. It represents the first generation of Panasonic's slim VCR design with on-screen display and blue screen. Most functions are accessible only through the remote control, with a minimal front panel display — a design approach that lasted through the early 1990s until front panel displays and controls were reintroduced. The single-belt internal mechanism makes these VCRs particularly reliable with minimal maintenance required. This generation of Panasonic VCRs pioneered the OSD and blue screen features that became standard across the industry in the 1990s.
