Description
The JVC SR-HD1500US is a professional Blu-ray Disc and HDD combo deck that allows users to record and author compliant Blu-ray discs without a PC. HD recordings from a camcorder can be easily transferred to a high-definition disc, or down-converted using the built-in format converter and recorded onto a standard DVD. The unit features a 500GB internal hard disk drive for editing video transferred from a camcorder, assembling edited clips into disc projects, and duplicating unprotected Blu-ray or DVD discs. USB 2.0, i.Link, and SD/SDHC memory card slot provide interfaces to most SD and HD digital camcorders including AVCHD, HDV, and DV formats. Apple QuickTime MOV file support enables direct transfer from JVC ProHD camcorders (GY-HM100/700) recording in SP modes for Final Cut Pro workflows. Advanced MPEG-2 and H.264/AVC encoding supports multiple quality modes from XP (9.5Mbps) down to AE (4.3Mbps). The SR-HD1500US adds RS-232C control capability and .MOV file support over the entry-level SR-HD1250US, making it suitable for integration into automated systems and professional video editing studios. The SR-HD1500US received a Government Video Salute Award in 2009.
