JVC AV-14F703
Description
The JVC AV-14F703 is a compact 14" television from JVC's I'Art series, released in 2002. The I'Art line featured flat-screen tube technology with an INVAR shadow mask and contemporary styling aimed at the design-conscious consumer market. The 14" size makes it ideal for kitchens, bedrooms, or small spaces.
This model was manufactured by Orion Electric in Thailand and is essentially identical to the Toshiba 14AF42. The service menu operation is the same as the Toshiba AF series and other Orion-produced TVs.
Technical Details
Despite its compact size, the AV-14F703 is one of the few 14" CRTs equipped with both S-Video and Component video inputs, making it particularly desirable for retro gaming. It includes a 181-channel quartz PLL frequency synthesized tuner (VHF 2-13, UHF 14-69, plus cable channels), a 2-line digital comb filter for improved picture clarity, BBE High Definition Sound audio processing, and 3 AV inputs (1 front, 2 rear). The universal remote control (RM-C309G) has TV, VCR, and DVD control capability, and the on-screen display supports English, French, and Spanish. JVC offered a 2-year picture tube warranty with 1-year parts and labor coverage.
Like other Orion-manufactured TVs, this model lacks an input select button on the front panel. Inputs can be changed using the channel-down button to go below channel 003.
