FOR-A UB-102
Description
The FOR-A UB-102 is a 1U rackmount modular frame from FOR-A's Universal Bus system. It provides power, cooling, and a shared backplane bus for up to two plug-in processing cards. The chassis includes a front-panel power switch with indicator, a fan alarm LED, and a rear-panel fan tally output BNC for external fault monitoring.
The Universal Bus system allows broadcast facilities to mix and match different video processing modules in a compact, standardized frame — similar in concept to other modular video frame systems such as those from Grass Valley and Evertz. Each card slot is secured with captive thumbscrews and the chassis provides regulated power to the installed modules.
The rear panel features an IEC C14 power inlet with a T2.0A fuse, and a fan tally output on BNC. The unit draws up to 0.95A and is made in Japan.
Known compatible cards include the FOR-A UPI-100MV multi-viewer processor.
