The Sony SL-2300 was part of Sony's "E-Z Beta" series of affordable, user-friendly Betamax VCRs. Built on the 711B chassis with 2 heads, it offered basic playback and recording across all three Beta speeds. It featured a wired remote (#RM-59W) and a 1-event, 3-day timer with mechanical 14 pushbutton presets limited to VHF/UHF. It was available in silver, white, black, and red color variants.
