Description

The Sony SL-2500 ushered in a new generation of slim-line Betamax decks at only 4 inches tall. Built on the 711D chassis with DA+1 heads, it introduced many great playback features including frame-by-frame advance in forward and reverse (called "Swing Search"). An optional changer was available, the first made for a front-loading unit. Retail price was $1,000.
