Description

The Sony SL-2000 was the first lightweight portable Betamax, weighing only 9.5 pounds. Built on the 711D chassis, it featured the first linear time counter showing hours, minutes, and seconds. It paired with the TT-2000 outboard tuner-timer unit for 14-day programming. An optional PCM audio adapter (PCM-F1) was available separately for digital audio recording. Retail price was $700.
