Description

The Sony SL-HF860D was a high-end SuperBeta Hi-Fi stereo VCR from 1987, built on the 711B3 chassis. It was the top model of the digital effects line, combining Beta Hi-Fi stereo audio, a 155-channel digital tuner with MTS stereo decoding, digital effects for picture manipulation, and synchro edit capability. It supported SuperBeta recording in βII and βIII with playback of βI, βIs, βII, and βIII. Additional features included slow motion playback, BetaScan picture search, and the RMT-160 wireless infrared remote with a 6-event, 7-day programmable timer.
