Description

The Sony SL-C9 was Sony's top-of-the-range PAL Betamax VCR for many years, first released in 1982. Built on the 711D chassis, it featured an extensive 9-event 14-day timer, Beta noise reduction, audio dubbing, a 14-pin camera input, perfect picture pause, real-time tape counter, APS index marking, and a tape remaining indicator. It was also available in several regional variants including the SL-C9AS (Australia), SL-C9ES (Western Europe), SL-C9ECS (Switzerland/Austria), and SL-C9UB (United Kingdom). The companion PCM-701ES digital audio processor was often paired with the SL-C9 for digital audio recording.
