FOR-A FA-350
Description
The FOR-A FA-350 is a 10-bit digital time base corrector and frame synchronizer introduced in September 2001, marking FOR-A's entry into the 21st century with new digital technologies. At the dawn of the 21st century, FOR-A celebrated its 30th anniversary. For notable turn-of-the-century FA products, new digital technologies were introduced, with younger engineers leading development.
The FA-350 accepts analog composite video input and outputs processed composite video, making it suitable for a variety of closed circuit and broadcast applications.
The FA-350 features 10-bit internal processing with 4:2:2 component signal passage, providing high-quality signal processing. Full frame memory prevents picture field inversion during processing. Y and C recursive filtering helps eliminate signal noise from the luminance and chrominance channels.
Front panel analog potentiometers provide direct control over processing amplifier settings. The unit supports both NTSC and PAL video standards.
The FA-350 was the foundation of a new series of digital-era FOR-A signal processors. Even a decade after their introduction, these models remained leading products in the broadcast industry.
