Design

The AV-20D303 features a black plastic bezel with bottom-mounted speakers. The control panel is located on the front right side of the television with volume, channel, and menu controls. Unique among its series, this model includes a headphone jack on the front panel.

RGB Mod Information

RGB modification information for this specific model is limited. The AV-20D303 may share similarities with other JVC 20-inch models like the AV-20D202, which uses the same board as the JVC AV-27230. However, JVC sets often digitally disable unused RGB signals via the Jungle IC's RGB SEL register, making RGB modification complex and potentially requiring microprocessor intervention. Since this model already includes high-quality component video inputs, an RGB mod may not provide significant picture quality improvements.

Setup Tips

  • If component video appears in black and white, access the setup menu and enable "V2 Component-In" for INPUT 2
  • The television includes I2C bus control for advanced service adjustments
  • The front Input 3 jacks are located under the front panel door - pull to open
  • When headphones are connected, the internal speakers are automatically muted

Service Information

This model uses a user's guide (document number LCT1145-001B-A) published in June 2002. The AV-20D303 is the 20-inch model in the D303 series and uses the RM-C253 remote control.
