Description

The Sony SL-C30 was a stylish, slim basic Betamax model which included an infrared remote control. Available in black, silver, gold, and red, it was the brother of the SL-C20 (which lacked a remote and was silver only). The two were otherwise indistinguishable mechanically, both incorporating a stripped-down version of the SL-C9 mechanism. The SL-C40 was the stereo variant with linear stereo and Beta noise reduction. The SL-C30 was a PAL-only model; the contemporary American range included the SL-2400 and SL-2500 series.
