Description

The Sony SL-330 was a budget-oriented SuperBeta monaural VCR from 1988, built on the 711B3 chassis. It offered solid performance at an affordable price point, with SuperBeta recording capability in βII and βIII speeds and playback of βI, βIs, βII, and βIII. It featured a 148-channel digital tuner with 14 presets, BetaScan picture search, freeze-frame, and a wireless infrared remote (RMT-156). The 711B3 chassis provided improved dropout compensation circuitry and reliable tape handling. Notable extras included a sharpness control, color intensity switch, and BNR noise reduction for the monaural audio track.
