FOR-A FA-390
Description
The FOR-A FA-390 is a 10-bit digital time base corrector and frame synchronizer introduced in 2001 as part of the FA-350 series. Building on the FA-370, the FA-390 adds audio input and output capabilities alongside SD-SDI video.
The FA-390 was part of FOR-A's entry into the 21st century digital era, introduced as FOR-A celebrated its 30th anniversary. New digital technologies were introduced with younger engineers leading development. Even a decade after launch, these models remained leading products in the broadcast industry.
The FA-390 features 10-bit internal processing with 4:2:2 component signal passage. Full frame memory prevents picture field inversion during processing. Audio support allows the unit to handle complete audio/video signals in a single device.
