Description

The JVC SR-MV55US is a professional-grade combo deck combining a DVD-R recorder and S-VHS VCR in a single unit, designed for dubbing, archiving, and specialized playback applications in educational institutions and professional environments. The simultaneous recording function allows programs to be recorded on both DVD and VCR decks from the same input source, making it ideal for transitioning tape libraries to DVD media. The unit supports three DVD recording formats: DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, and DVD-R. Auto full repeat discs can be created for digital signage and kiosk applications. The RS-232C terminal enables external control and integration into automated systems, distinguishing it from the lower-cost SR-MV45US. The i.Link (IEEE 1394) connection supports DV input from camcorders. Super MPEG processors provide enhanced quality for DVD authoring, and closed caption information can be recorded to DVD.
