The RCA F27TF700 is a 27-inch TruFlat CRT television made by Thomson in Mexico in 2002. It features a full set of inputs including a unique VPORT for Xbox connection. This specific model may have primarily been sold in Canada, though other sets sharing the same chassis were available in the US.^[1]

VPORT

The VPORT is a proprietary connector designed for the original Xbox console, hence the "XBOX READY" branding. It functions as a second YPbPr component input, and an Xbox component cable can be used in reverse to connect other consoles through this port.^[1] Dedicated VPORT-to-component breakout cables (RCA model GP650XB) were also produced, and custom cables are still made by aftermarket sellers.^[2]

Picture Quality

The F27TF700 uses a Philips jungle chip for video processing, which contributes to strong picture quality.^[1]

Service Menu

To enter the service menu:

Turn the set on
Navigate with the channel buttons, and adjust the parameters with the volume buttons

The service menu screen will appear, displaying one item at a time.
