Description

The Sony SL-HF150 was a Hi-Fi Betamax VCR not released in the UK, but sold in Continental Europe as the SL-HF150ES and in Australia as the SL-HF150AS. It was similar to the SL-HF100 but added On Screen Graphics, a perfect pause (still) mode, and a headphone socket. The front panel concealed controls including Beta Hi-Fi audio output selector (Auto/Normal), tracking, Hi-Fi record mode (Video/Sound), MPX filter, input selector (Tuner/Simul/Line/PCM), bilingual A/B selector, audio record level sliders, and timer controls. The SL-HF77 was an upgraded version adding Super Beta Hi-Fi capability. The SL-HF150 was a PAL-market model; the closest NTSC equivalent was the American SL-HF300 (1984), which also offered Hi-Fi stereo without Super Beta.
