Description
The Zenith VRT-9550 is a tuner/timer companion unit for the Zenith VR-9500 portable Betamax VCR. Manufactured by Sony for Zenith, it provides the VR-9500 with an electronic tuner featuring 14 pushbutton presets for VHF/UHF channels, a wired remote control, and a 1-event timer. When docked with the VR-9500, it converts the portable unit into a full-featured home VCR. Compared to the higher-end VRT-9850, the VRT-9550 offers a more basic feature set with a wired (rather than wireless) remote and a simpler 1-event timer. It is also compatible with the VR-9800 and other Sony-platform portable Betamax units.
