Description

The Sony SL-HFR50 was part of Sony's Hi-Fi Ready series and second-generation E-Z Beta line. Built on the 711B2 chassis with DA+1 heads, it was one of the first consumer Betamax models to support SuperBeta playback and recording. It was designed to accept the external HFP-100 or HFP-200 adapter for Hi-Fi stereo audio. It featured a digital tuner with 14 presets, a wireless remote (#RMT-124), and a 6-event, 7-day timer.
