Description
The Sony BMC-200 (PAL: BMC-200P) was an improved version of the BMC-100 Betamovie camcorder. The key improvement was the addition of digital auto-focusing, making it easier for casual users to get sharp recordings. Like the BMC-100, it weighed under 2.5kg and could record onto all Betamax tapes, giving a maximum recording time of 3 hours 15 minutes with an L-750 cassette. It retained the Omega wrap system and could only record, not play back. The NTSC equivalent was the BMC-220.
