Overview
The JVC C-2027 is a 20-inch color television receiver built on JVC's FY chassis.[1] It carried an MSRP of $449.00. Unlike the "Monitor/Receiver" models in JVC's lineup, the C-2027 is classified as a "Television Receiver" and does not include external AV input terminals — it receives signals exclusively through its built-in tuner.
The C-2027 features a 20-inch Full Square tinted picture tube designed for deeper black levels and improved contrast.[1] Its 112-channel frequency synthesizer tuner provides direct cable reception of Mid, Sub-Mid, and Super bands in addition to standard VHF (channels 2–13) and UHF (channels 14–83) broadcast channels.[1][2]
The set includes JVC's MASTER COMMAND infrared remote control with comprehensive on-screen displays.[1] A built-in clock/timer allows automatic ON switching (presettable up to 24 hours) and OFF (up to 10 hours). Three-way tuning is available: CHOICE (4 channel presets), RETURN, and AUTO CHANNEL SCAN.[1] A combination rabbit ears and loop antenna is built in.[1]
Audio output is 1.5 watts mono through a single 2" × 3-9/16" elliptical speaker.[2] The C-2027 measures 19-5/8" W × 18-3/4" D × 20-1/2" H and weighs 48.4 lbs.[2]
