The Toshiba MD13N3 is a 13-inch NTSC television with an integrated DVD/CD player, sold in the United States as a combination set.[1]

The tuner is a quartz PLL frequency-synthesized type covering VHF channels 2–13, UHF 14–69 and cable channels 14–125 plus 01 (5A), through a 75-ohm coaxial VHF/UHF input.[1] Sound is stereo, produced by two 38 × 68 mm 8-ohm speakers driven at 1.5 W per channel.[1]

The set measures 362 × 383 × 365 mm (W × H × D) and weighs 11.0 kg. It draws 75 W in operation and 5 W in standby from a 120 V, 60 Hz supply.[1]

Features

The built-in player handles DVD and CD media in both 12 cm and 8 cm sizes, with an NTSC signal system.[1] Frequency response is 4 Hz–22 kHz for DVD and 4 Hz–20 kHz for CD. The optical pickup uses a 775–815 nm laser at up to 0.5 mW for CD and a 650–666 nm laser at up to 2.0 mW for DVD.[1]

External sources arrive on RCA jacks at 1 Vp-p into 75 ohms for video and −8 dB into 50 kilohms for audio. A coaxial digital audio output delivers 0.5 Vp-p into 75 ohms.[1]

The television ships with a remote control, two AAA batteries and a 300-to-75-ohm matching transformer.[1]
