Overview
The Sony KV-1206 is a 12" portable color television from Sony's Trinitron line, manufactured from approximately 1978 to 1979. It features Sony's "Econoquick" energy-saving technology, which allows the set to warm up and display a picture more quickly than standard models of the era while consuming less power in standby.
The KV-1206 is a compact, portable-style set with a hidden carry handle recessed into the top of the cabinet. It uses an electronic VHF/UHF tuner with pushbutton channel presets, replacing the older rotary drum tuner design found on earlier 12" Trinitrons like the KV-1212 and KV-1214. The set was made in Japan.
