The JVC AV-27980 is the flagship 27" consumer CRT television in JVC's lineup, featuring dual-tuner Picture-in-Picture and an industry-leading 700 lines of horizontal resolution.[1] The full square dark tinted picture tube delivers a sharp, high-contrast image.
This top-tier model includes TV Guide Plus, an interactive on-screen program guide that provides channel listings and scheduling information.[1] Auto Clock Set automatically synchronizes the internal clock from broadcast signals. Audio capabilities include 3.0W × 2 stereo speakers with MTS stereo, dbx noise reduction, and Hyper Surround sound processing.[1]
Like the AV-27950, it features two composite AV inputs with S-Video, AV Compu Link EX for JVC VCR automation, and a switchable fixed/variable audio output. Power consumption is rated at 127 watts / 1.8 amps.[1]
