A Phoenix connector (also known as a Euroblock, Euro connector, or pluggable terminal block) is a type of two-piece disconnectable terminal block commonly used in professional audio and video equipment. The connector consists of a removable plug with screw terminals for securing bare wire ends, which then plugs into a fixed header socket mounted on the equipment's circuit board or rear panel. The name "Phoenix connector" comes from one of the original manufacturers, Phoenix Contact, a German company, though compatible connectors are made by numerous manufacturers.[1]
