Why another CRT database site?
- We want to be maximally open and agile to new data. Hence the wiki format.
- For me personally, I wanted to know how to make a MediaWiki site that puts schema-fied data first, rather than "loose" data like you find scattered on e.g. Wikipedia
- Want to cover worldwide, not have North America bias
- Want to integrate natively with EveryCRT

- Wanted to use native Semantic MediaWiki search but ended up needing to write custom JS
- Document upload (for manuals, brochures, etc.)
- Data model applies them to multiple CRT models at once (if necessary)
- Supports storing files on wiki as well as e.g. archive.org

- I want to have a page for remote controls, stands, etc.
- As well as community developed accessories like clone cards to enable RGB, 3D models/prints for replacement doors, etc.
- 3D models CRTs
- I want to store 3D models of CRTs
- Bot-friendly. MCP editing is encouraged (with human oversight)
- Data sharing friendly - MIT license for contributions
