Overview
The JVC AV-32D500 is a 32" consumer CRT television released in 1999 as part of JVC's popular D-Series line. This is a mid-tier D-Series model that uses the early GR2 chassis with the JVC JCC1007A jungle IC.
The AV-32D500 features component video input and uses either the Hitachi A80LJF30X tube (default) or the Panasonic M80JUA061X (marked with "A" beside the serial number). Both are high-quality tubes well-suited for retro gaming.
Tube Identification
Check the letter beside the serial number on the model tag:
- (no letter) - Hitachi A80LJF30X
- A - Panasonic M80JUA061X
Technical Notes
- Uses early-era D-Series chassis (Dx00) with JVC JCC1007A jungle
- Can be RGB modded
- Has minimal raster bloom compared to later chassis
- 5W speakers per channel
