Technical Details
- Picture tube: Toshiba A60LVY196X
- Chassis: A13QSU
- Video processor: Renesas
Picture Quality Issues
This model has known issues due to its Renesas video processing chip:
- Misaligned chroma
- Red push (excessive red saturation)
- Black crush (loss of shadow detail)
- Unavoidable video motion (VM) processing
Service Menu Adjustments
- Reduce color saturation to counteract red push
- Increase RGB cutoffs in service menu to reduce black crush
- VM can be disabled by unplugging a jumper from the neckboard
RGB Modification
This model is RGB moddable, which bypasses all the problematic video processing and eliminates chroma misalignment, red push, and black crush issues.
