Description
The Panasonic DMR-HS2 is a consumer DVD-RAM recorder with a built-in hard disk drive, released in 2002. It contains a Panasonic MN673744 video processing IC with integrated frame synchronization capabilities.[1][2]
Like other models in the Panasonic DMR series, the DMR-HS2's frame synchronizer provides passthrough TBC capability that can be used for analog video digitization, though it has not been formally tested or tiered for this purpose relative to later models like the Panasonic DMR-ES10.
The DMR-HS2 was produced in both PAL and NTSC regional variants. PAL variants include the DMR-HS2, DMR-HS2EB, DMR-HS2EB1, DMR-HS2EG, DMR-HS2EG1, and DMR-HS2GN. The NTSC variant is the DMR-HS2PP.
