The Bang & Olufsen BeoVision Avant 28 is a 28-inch widescreen CRT television with an integrated VHS video recorder, produced from 1994 to 2001.[1] It was the first BeoVision to use a 16:9 widescreen picture tube; the range was later updated with a chassis offering 100 Hz vertical scanning, and the successor BeoVision Avant 28 RF introduced a "real flat" picture tube.[1] Designed by David Lewis, the set delivers 2 × 39 W through its integrated active speakers, stands on a motorised turntable, and joins Bang & Olufsen's Beolink system through a Master Link connector; it was offered in pearlescent black, blue, green, red and silver finishes.[1]
