The Sony KV-1326R is a basic 13-inch Trinitron colour television introduced in 1987 for the North American market at $329, built on Sony's P3 chassis platform (chassis number SCC-754O-B) and manufactured in Mexico.[1]
It is a plain receiver: an RF antenna input and mono sound, with no line-level audio or video jacks at all.[1] The Trinitron tube is Sony part A34JBU10X, 90-degree deflection, with a dark-tinted screen whose glare film is bonded and cannot be removed.[1]
Degaussing runs automatically at power-on. Adjustments are made on internal and external potentiometers rather than through a service menu, which is typical of Sony sets of this generation.[1] A Remote Commander RM-717 was supplied. Two cabinet finishes were sold: plain white, and woodgrain with a silver bezel.[1]
