Sanyo DS13204
1×RF (RF (F-type), Mono audio)
1×Composite (CVBS) (RCA (connector), Mono audio via RCA (connector))
The Sanyo DS13204 is a 13-inch NTSC television, the smallest of a family of three sharing an owner's manual with the 19-inch DS19204 and 25-inch DS25204.[1][2]
Sanyo rates picture resolution at 260 lines from the antenna input and 350 lines from the video input.[1] The tuner covers VHF channels 2–13, UHF 14–69 and cable channels 01, 14–94 and 95–125 through a 75-ohm UHF/VHF/CATV input.[2] Intermediate frequencies are 45.75 MHz for the picture carrier, 41.25 MHz for sound and 42.17 MHz for the colour subcarrier.[2]
The picture tube is fitted as Sanyo part A34JRY24X, with A34KPU02XX, A34KPU03XX and A34JRY24X (DT) listed as alternatives.[2] The chassis is a simple one for its date, using seven integrated circuits and fourteen transistors outside the tuner and RC pre-amplifier.[2]
Features
Sound is mono: a single 8 cm speaker driven by a built-in amplifier rated 1 W per channel.[1] A front-panel A/V input takes composite video and audio; Sanyo notes that when a stereo source is connected only one audio plug is used, and that only one device at a time can be connected to these jacks.[1]
The set is remote-ready with a 24-key remote control, which takes two AAA batteries (not included).[2][1] It measures 356 × 327 × 372 mm (W × H × D), weighs 8.5 kg and consumes 45 W average at up to 1.1 A from a 120 V, 60 Hz supply.[1][2]
Sanyo warns in the service manual that the chassis has a floating ground sitting at half the AC line voltage with respect to earth, so an isolation transformer must be connected before any service work.[2]
