The Sanyo DS27930 is a 27-inch true-flat-screen NTSC television built on Sanyo chassis 27930-00 for the US and Canadian markets, sharing an owner's manual with the 32-inch DS32424.[1][2]
Sanyo rates picture resolution at 330 lines from the antenna input and 800 lines from the video input.[2] The picture tube is Sanyo part A68QCU759X77, and the chassis uses fourteen integrated circuits and forty-four transistors outside the tuner and RC pre-amplifier.[1]
The tuner is a 181-channel system covering VHF 2–13, UHF 14–69 and cable channels 01, 14–94 and 95–125 through a 75-ohm UHF/VHF/CATV input, with intermediate frequencies of 45.75 MHz for picture, 41.25 MHz for sound and 42.17 MHz for the colour subcarrier.[1] A 39-key remote control is supplied.[1]
The set measures 664 × 629 × 489 mm (W × H × D), weighs 41.4 kg and consumes 95 W average at up to 2.5 A from a 120 V, 60 Hz supply.[2][1]

Connections are generous for a mid-range set: two composite A/V input sets with R/L audio, two S-Video inputs, a 480i YPbPr component input with its own R/L audio, and switchable fixed/variable audio outputs on RCA connectors.[2]
Sound is stereo at 3 W per channel through two 8 cm speakers, with Front Surround Sound processing plus bass and treble controls.[2] Picture processing includes Auto Flesh Tone and a Colour Enhancer, with factory preset picture and sound adjustments available.[2]
Other features include V-Guide parental control, XDS extended data service showing station call letters, programme title and ratings, an auto clock, a three-hour sleep timer, an initial-channel setting and a TV reset function.[2]
