The Sony PVM-9041QM is a 9-inch multistandard Trinitron professional video monitor for the European (AEP) market, built on chassis SCC-F09B-A. It is the standard-resolution half of a pair with the PVM-9044QM, which shares its cabinet and connector panel but carries a Super Fine Pitch Trinitron tube.[1]
The 9041QM's Trinitron tube resolves 250 TV lines, against 450 for the 9044QM.[1] Frequency response is 6.0 MHz (−3.0 dB) on all inputs, with aperture correction adjustable from −4.0 dB to +6.0 dB at 3.0 MHz and an AFC time constant of 1.0 ms.[1] Colour temperature is fixed at D65. Normal scan is 6% overscan with a 3% underscan mode; convergence is specified at 0.43 mm in the central area and 0.53 mm at the periphery, with high-voltage regulation of 3.0%.[1]
Features
The monitor handles PAL, SECAM, NTSC 3.58 and NTSC 4.43, the last for playing NTSC-recorded cassettes on a PAL-system VCR.[1] A blue-and-black-only display mode assists hue adjustment and the observation of video noise.[1] The Y/C, VIDEO IN and EXT SYNC IN connectors are terminated internally at 75 ohms, with the termination released automatically when a cable is connected to the matching loop-through output.[1]
An 8-pin mini-DIN TALLY/REMOTE connector provides external control and tally indication.[1] The monitor accepts 100–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz worldwide, or 12 V DC from a Sony NP-1A/NP-1B battery pack or an AC-500/AC-500CE adaptor, drawing 43 W on AC and 40 W on DC — so it can be used in the field as well as in the studio.[1] With the optional MB-507 bracket it mounts in an EIA-standard 19-inch rack.[1]
